Today 8th January 2020, Raglan Ramblers will be returning to Wainui Reserve, or Te Pae Akaroa, which covers 140 hectares and has tracks to the beach, along the cliff tops and in Wainui valley, going through pine forest, bush and over paddocks. It was set aside as a Pilot Reserve in 1883, when it was thought Raglan would become a port for Sydney. It became the Wainui Reserve in 1986. The Raglan Ramblers first walk was on the reserve on 26 May 1990.

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
