On the 6th January, Raglan Ramblers will be setting off for a gentle start to the New Year, with a local evening walk from 5pm. They are hoping at that time of the day that it maybe will be a bit cooler for the walk. Many Raglan locals don’t know where local walkways are, so this is a chance for many to learn new routes. It’s also a good chance for visitors to see a bit more of the town. Sunset is 8.45pm.
Walks usually start 9am, but this special evening walk starts at 5pm, Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook
Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
