Butter Wouldn’t Melt

Butter Wouldn’t Melt (Nick Burfield, Andrea Reid and Derek Burfield) will melt your heart with their soulful stories, vibrant voices and faraway fables. They are proud to be launching their debut album “1931” this summer, followed by an album tour of the North lsland.

Their original material is presented with a unique blend of dulcimer, whistles, guitar, double bass and soaring counter-melodies. Their sound is raw and familiar, yet still manages to surprise. Each song is filled with dancing harmonies and country and blues-inspired picking, creating an old-time vibe. Butter Wouldn’t Melt sing of New Zealand history, long-lost lovers, fairy tales and (very) distant serial-killer relatives.

One Last Lullaby is their debut single out now! From the album 1931 – which will be out January 15th 2022. Thanks for all your love and support, hope you like it!
