On January 18th, Raglan ramblers will be heading South to Mangaokewa Stream near Te Kuiti. This will mean a 100 kilometre (1hr 25min) drive each way to walk on part of Te Araroa Trail. The walk will be beside the river in a deep gorge to the Cascade Waterfalls. You’ll need to bring your lunch for this one.

Walks usually start 9am, Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
