Injured from SH 23 crash taken to Waikato Hospital

The Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance was called out to the scene of a car versus car crash along Highway 23 between Raglan and Hamilton.

A car carrying four people lost control and spun in the path of an on-coming vehicle.

In total five people were injured in the crash.

The rescue helicopter was dispatched to retrieve a 17-year old male, a back seat passenger in one of the vehicles, who suffered a fractured pelvis, along with multiple other injuries.

The four other patients were transported by road to Waikato Hospital.
