Indian food coming to Raglan

Work is progressing on setting up a new food outlet in Bow St, Raglan in the former premises of Lugton Real Estate.   Signs with a crisp white lettering on a red background proclaim that Namaste Kitchen will be opening soon.  In   Sanskrit   “Namas”   means,   “bow,  obeisance,  reverential salutation.” It  comes from the root  Nam, which carries meanings of bending,  bowing, humbly submitting and  becoming silent. “Te” means “to you.”  Thus “namaste” means “I bow to  you.” the act of greeting  is called  “Namaskaram,” “Namaskara”  and “Namaskar” in the varied languages of the subcontinent.

Namaste Kitchen in Silverdale Road, Hamilton has a reputation for its naan and roti bread, and very tasty, authentic food plus good service.
