Council parking wardens patrol Raglan’s streets over the holiday period. So for a stress free visit, it’s often best to park out of the Bow Street area in James and Stewart Streets where there is no time limit.

“Heading out to Raglan this summer? It’s a busy place this time of year so here are some parking tips to help make your trip stress free.

Park on James Street – there’s no time limit and it’s often empty when everywhere else is packed!

Or you can park down by the rugby club on Cross Street and walk up along Cliff Street, past the flowering Pohutukawas.

There’s also plenty of overflow parking by the playground and skatepark on Marine Parade.

If you’re going to the Ngarunui beach, we’ve got plenty of overflow parking by the surf club. Please don’t park on the broken yellow lines at the surf club. We’ve had a few instances lately where people have parked here, blocking the access for emergency service vehicles.”

And one that they don’t seem to be aware of: Stewart Street- opposite the Museum in Wainui Road often has parking just a 3 minutes walk from the Bow Street and the Raglan CBD area. There is no time limit.
