High level of nominations for 2010 Raglan Film Festival

After the success of the inaugural Raglan Film Festival in 2009,  local film makers have shown a keen interest this year.  Nominations for the awards are at a high level.  The Raglan Film Festival starts on October 1st at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre. Other screening days are 3rd, 7th, 8th, and 9th. See below to download the programme or watch the trailer.  A variety of top New Zealand and international films will be screened at the Film Festival.    Local Whaingaroa film makers are featured at the Red Carpet Awards night with screenings and dinner on Saturday 2nd.

This red carpet night celebrates the achievements of local Raglan Whaingaroa film makers. Nominations for the Raglan Film Festival Awards are for films of any length and genre made by film makers around the Whaingaroa Harbour (West of the deviation) or filmed in the area.

Special guests include Ariana Brunet, Reiki Ruawai, Nane’ Mclean, Maryann Tuao, Micah Puklowski + more!

Evening includes:  Awards Ceremony, Red carpet, glass of Bubbles, light dinner + entry to our main Feature Film ‘Predicament’ (A crime comedy set in 1930s small town New Zealand about a naive teen who conspires with two misfits to photograph and blackmail wealthy, adulterous couples).  So come along and enjoy the Red Carpet Festivities!
