While NZ farmers have their gypsy day of moving around properties on 1st June, in the Raglan CBD, gypsy time for retailers is October.
It started a couple of of weeks with Three Little Birds shutting up shop at 5 Bow Street. Tony was seen around 13 Bow Street, next to the Artisan Bread Shop where a new shop Bohemian Gypsy is to open with Three Little Birds in the rear of the shop. Around the corner in Wainui Road at 1B, the Katipo gift shop has closed. In its place is the new Artisan & Merchant shop which will open on Friday 14th October.
Across Wainui Road at a new building next to the superette, online retailer Fallenfront has set up a retail base called ‘The Good Times Store’. The newspaper Raglan Chronicle will be moving upstairs in the new building this coming week. At the same time they’ll be stopping their photocopy service.
And Bow Street Depot cafe has reopened this weekend after its winter hibernation. The tapas menu has gone and been replaced by a Texas BBQ themed one.
