Good progress on skatepark extension

Workers extend Kopua Skatepark
Work goes on behind orange safety barrier next to old skatepark

Work is proceeding rapidly on the extension to the Raglan Skatepark.  Closed since September, a team from Premium Skate Design are hard at work on the extension.  It is planned to have the work completed by the end of November.  The project is costing $164,000 and will see the original 2002 skatepark extended by 240 square metres.  The extension includes a snake run and a taco which have been welcomed by local skaters.  There will also be seating to allow people to have a rest and watch the skaters tackle the new challenges and improve their skills.

Trust Waikato donated $15,000 towards the project and WEL Energy Trust made a grant of $30,000 for the project.
