A combined effort by  Ray White Raglan Real Estate,  Raglan Operational Support Unit,  Raglan Community Vehicle Trust and Raglan Lions saw a flat screen TV installed for Gail Clark, a resident at the Raglan Trust Hospital.  And it went in just in time for Gail to watch the quarter finals!

Gail has been saving up for TV for some time.   When Dave Hanna of Raglan Real Estate heard about this he realised that Gail’s artwork might be a way of getting a TV for her.   Dave and Julie Hanna arranged for one of Gail’s paintings to be framed, so it could be auctioned at the real estate company’s October auction on Friday night.

Then it was matter of getting Gail along to see how the auction would go.   The
Raglan Community Vehicle Trust agreed to provide their vehicle and Lions President, Bob MacLeod agreed to be the driver and coordinate the move.   The auction of the painting under the care auctioneer Julie was successful and raised over $400 towards the new TV.  And Dave Hanna already had a TV on hand anticipating a successful outcome to the auction.

Now there was a need to install the TV, so officers MacLeod and Coxhead of the Raglan Operational Support Unit were called on to install the TV in Gail’s room.  We can report that this task was successfully carried out by the OSU and Gail watched the quarter finals.

Te Rangimarie Gray-Carter, Manager of the Raglan Trust Hospital thanked the local organisations for their generous actions.

Well done guys: Ray White Raglan Real Estate, Raglan Operational Support Unit, Raglan Community Vehicle Trust and Raglan Lions.
