After a misty start the fog lifted off Whaingaroa harbour leaving a perfect day on Saturday for the 25th Annual Whaingaroa Hoe Raglan hosted by Whaingaroa Whanau Hoe Waka. This year there were 173 crews, with 1,038 paddlers in the regatta on 4th May 2019. Shorter 8km races made for a buoy off Moonlight Bay while the longer 24km races made for a buoy halfway up the Waingaro arm of the harbour.
