The Waikato Sport Fishing Club is proud and excited to announce the Raglan One Base is organised and ready to go! The Raglan Club, Bow Street are graciously hosting our tournament again this year at their great venue.

Fish categories are Marlin, Tuna, Shark (Tag & Release only), Mahimahi, Skipjack, Albacore, Kingfish, Snapper, Kahawai, Trevally and new addition biggest Gurnard overall. Whether you’re a hard-core Game Fisher pursuing a Marlin or dead keen on bottom fishing aiming for that 20lb Snapper, with such a wide range of categories there is
something for everyone to target!

This tournament is also has a points competition for fish ‘Tagged & Released’ or weighed-in exceeding the line weight they were caught on. Example: a 3.7Kg Skipjack Tuna caught on 3Kg line weight equates to 123.33 points. The formula for points is the fish weight multiplied by 100 and divided by the line weight.

These points go towards the Top Team Prize of $1000 cash and towards the Top Individual Angler Prize. There are also Top Ladies and Junior point’s categories. We also have a Lucky Team Draw with 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes up for grabs!

Registration from 5pm and Skippers Briefing at 7pm on the 27th February 2019 at the Raglan Club venue, Bow Street, Raglan. All anglers entering must be a member of an affiliated club to the New Zealand Sport Fishing Council. Waikato Sport Fishing Club offers Club Memberships which are available to everyone.

The Raglan One Base has and is a Tournament that anglers look forward to each year, with great prizes, great atmosphere and great West Coast fishing. All welcome!
