Feb 15, 16, 17: Award winning movies – A STAR IS BORN and BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

The British Academy’s BAFTA Awards have just been presented on the evening of 10th February.

  • A STAR IS BORN received the award for Best Original Music.
  • Rami Malek in BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY received the BAFTA for Best Leading Actor. The movie also won the award for Best Sound.
  • The BAFTA for Best Film and best Director went to ROMA which screened at the Old School in January. FREE SOLO, another January screening at the Old School won Best Documentary.
  • THE FAVOURITE, which will screen in Raglan in March, received the award for Best British Film.
The two award winning films screening at the Old School Arts Centre on the weekend of 15th, 16th and 17th February are:
  • A STAR IS BORN (M) – Friday 15th February 7.00pm, Sunday 17th February 4.30pm
  • BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (M) – Saturday 16th February 8.30pm, Sunday 17th February 7.30pm
