Curators hanging the exhibits at the Nautical Art Exhibition

With the Saturday morning opening of the Raglan Sailing Club’s Nautical Exhibition at the Old School Arts Centre in Stewart St, there are a number of exhibitions open for art lovers in Raglan.  In Bow Street, the annual exhibition by the Raglan Art Group is on in the Town Hall.  Further up Bow Street, the flags of the Matapihi Gallery invite visitors to the exhibition.  And in the Blacksand Cafe, contemporary Maori visual artist, Simon Te Wheoro works with coffee are on display in his new Coffee Canvas, “He Mauri” exhibition.  On display every day during cafe hours. Most of works have already been snapped up by buyers eager for the work of this very talented your artist.  And around the corner in Bankart St,  Raglan Whaingaroa photographer Stuart McKenzie’s exhibition of Polaroids Revisited is on display.  Original SX-70 Polaroids from the mid-70’s have been scanned and reprinted on Platinum Rag fine art paper.  Stuart has also included some more recent work.
