Driving incident on SH 23 divvy results in $550 of fines

On Sunday 24th, a drunk passenger received fines of $300 when she decided it would be fun to climb out the window at 90km/hr all the way over the divvy.

The driver of the blue Mazda was breaching his licence and received $250 in fines and 35 demerit points for having a drunken female passenger hanging out of his window on a stretch of Waikato State Highway, the road from Raglan to Hamilton .

Waikato road policing team reported on the incident on its Facebook page and said that while the driver was apologetic, the passenger not so much.
