The brochure recently circulated around Raglan by NZ Post is a good illustration of the term, DOUBLESPEAK. NZ Post have announced that they will be ‘changing the way we deliver mail in Raglan’.
What they really mean is that they will be reducing the frequency of mail deliveries in Raglan. NZ Post says that from 19 June they will be delivering it either on Monday, Wednesday and Friday OR on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
They say they’ll promise 95% of mail within three working days.
If you want something delivered urgently then the only option now si to use a courier.
The Rural Delivery service stays the same. The reduction in Raglan does not affect people on Rural Delivery.
