Dog Registration Fees & Charges 2014/15
The following dog registration fees and charges have been adopted by the Waikato District Council and become due and payable on 20 July 2014
DOG REGISTRATION FEE FOR ALL DOGS (INCLUDING GST)
General dog owner $117.00
Dangerous dog $175.50
Guide, hearing ear, or companion dog for the disabled (Special criteria apply) $5.00
REBATES IF PAID BY 20 JULY 2014
(Rebates granted to owners classified by Council as at 30 April 2014)

Third or subsequent impounding $123.00
Seizure (additional to impounding fee) $64.00
Sustenance (per day) $17.00
NOTE: Any fees incurred in the seizure, custody, sustenance and transport of a dog are
required to be paid before its release from impoundment.
Dog Collars – Large $12.00
Medium $11.00
Small $6.00
Replacement tags $5.00
Application for classification under Selected and Farm Owner Policy $64.00
Application for permit to keep more than two dogs $64.00
Disposal/surrender fee $48.00
Implanting of Microchips $40.00
NOTE:
No reduction will be allowed on registration fees for any dog that is registered on or after 20 July 2014, apart from part year registration as per sections 38 and 39 of the Dog Control Act 1996.
This notice is given under Sections 37 and 68 of the Dog Control Act 1996.
