Jimmy’s Hall
Saturday 20 December, 8pm and Sunday 21 December, 4.30pm.
In 1921 Jimmy Gralton builds a community hall on a rural crossroads in Ireland, home to raucous dances and educational classes. But Jimmy’s attitude to fun puts him under the scrutiny of local Catholic leaders and he’s forced to flee to New York. A decade later he returns to Ireland after the death of his brother and reopens the hall – a move which also reopens old wounds. Director: Ken Loach.
