Raglan Library has a new bike rack. We reported back in July that the bike rack at the library had been removed to allow of an accessible ramp. At the time Council staff said, “The bike rack is expected to be reinstated within the next couple of weeks, it is just having some minor alterations made to it.” The new rack is completely different from the old one and tailored to fit the available space. So that’s no doubt why it took longer than expected to get a bike rack, ‘reinstated’.
Since the opening of the new library, cyclists have been leaning their bikes against the front wall. On the 2nd of October a bike was stolen from this area. With the rack back in place riders will be able to lock their bikes to it.
