Raglan Art to Wear 2012 – tickets are on sale from Monday 14th at the Raglan i-SITE at 15 Wainui Road.
The countdown for the 2012 Raglan Art2wear Awards in June has started. After the continuing successes of the past years and the exciting entry sections coming up this year, the biannual awards are something to look forward.
The Raglan Art2Wear Awards will be held on the weekend of Friday 8th – Saturday 9th June 2012 in the Raglan Town Hall. The show attract a large number of entries, mostly from Raglan but also from Hamilton and the greater Waikato. It is deliberately planned for winter to attract visitors to the town when it’s quiet. The show is organised on behalf of the Raglan Community Arts Council by the Raglan Art2wear Committee.
The 2012 sections are:
- Wind Warriors – open
- RAINBOW – open
- The World of DR SEUSS – childrens under 13
- Reduce-Reuse-Recycle (recycled) – open
- Myths & Legends – open

Registration and Eligibility
- Entry forms are available from the Raglan Old School Arts Centre in Stewart St and from the Raglan Chronicle office in Wainui Road or can be downloaded here:

Entry Information
There is no limit to the number of entires by any one artist
Entry forms and fees to be received by Friday 1st June:
Raglan ArtoWear Awards, P.O. Box 47, Raglan 3265
$20 for one entry, $10 per entry thereafter
(includes 1 entry ticket to the evening show)
Each entry must have:
- The artwork’s name & artist’s name on each separate item of the outfit, including accessories.
- A photograph or drawing with a brief description of the artwork and number of pieces included. (Be creative and concise, this may be used in the garments commentary.)
- Garments must be strong enough to withstand rehearsals and show.
Registration Information
All artwork must be received at the Town Hall on Friday
8th June between 3pm & 6pm.
Dress rehearsal will be 10am Saturday 9th June 2012.
Afternoon and evening show tickets available from
Raglan i-SITE, Wainui Rd, Raglan.
Raglan Community Arts Council is not responsible for cost of returning artwork.
This entry form constitutes permission for the entered
artwork to be filmed or photographed and it’s image
used be Raglan ArtoWear at some later date.
Prizes are awarded to all section finalists, from which
the Supreme Award winner will be chosen.
