The Waikato District Council is counting down the days before it lets the contract to build the wastewater system for the Whaanga Coast.  Back in July 2012, the WDC gave the contract for the design of the Whaanga Coast wastewater pipeline to Harrison & Grierson Consultants Ltd.  This contract was priced at $1o6,785, but only covered the fixed cost part of the work. Since August 2012, Harrison & Grierson have been working on the design and the tender documents for the construction of the system.

The WDC now says in agenda’s published this month that the tender documents for the $2.5 million project are currently under review and expects to tender it this month (February). A special meeting of the Council will be called to consider tender no 12/049:  Whaanga Coast Pressure Wastewater System.
