Council hears community feedback on draft 10 year plan
The first of three hearings for Waikato district’s draft 10 year plan gets underway tonight (Monday 18th) in Tuakau and then with the second session on Tuesday in Raglan.
Over 800 submissions were received during a month long consultation period with Council asking communities to have their say on a variety of issues including traction seal for local roads, library opening hours and waste management including recycling.
Three hearings have been scheduled this week – Monday 18 May in the Tuakau Hall from 3-7.30pm, Tuesday at the Raglan Bowling Club 1-5pm and Wednesday in Council Chambers, 2-8.30pm.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meetings where submitters to the draft LTP will present their feedback to Councillors and discuss the issues identified for the district over the next decade.
