Community Boards from Coromandel to Kawhia gathered in Raglan on Saturday for a regional meeting of community boards in Zone 2 of Local Government New Zealand that covers this area.  The day started with a meet and greet session at Blacksand Cafe.  From there the visitors headed to Xtreme Waste for a tour of the facility and to get ideas on recycling options.  They commented on the passion of the Xtreme Waste team.

After that it was a luncheon date with the Raglan Community Board in the Raglan Town Hall Supper Room.  After that the 30 delegates got down to business with a workshop on the role of community boards.  Information from the workshop will be fed back to the NZ Community Boards Executive Committee (CBEC).
