The Christmas lights went up around the Raglan CBD on Monday.  WEL Networks assisted by the Raglan Volunteer Fire Brigade’s Operational Support unit were busy attaching the lights to poles around the Raglan shopping area.

At its September meeting the Raglan Community Board agreed to fund $2,000 of the cost from its discretionary fund, leaving a $4,000 still needed to allow the lights to go up. The Board  approached the Raglan community to sponsor the remaining cost on the basis of $200 per set of lights per pole.    As a result of this 29 sets of Christmas lights were sponsored.

Wow and thanks Raglan!
