Doors open at Tony Johnson’s new Artisan Market

When we visited Raglan Wharf on Sunday 28th, there was plenty of action indicating that change is just around the corner. The newly opened Artisan Market was open in the green shed with stallholders open for business.  Around the corner,  Wharf Espresso and Tony Sly Pottery had customers checking them out.

In the new home of Raglan Seafoods we found Mark Mathers busy at work on the extensive renovations needed for fish processing and sales. Since our last visit, Mark has made good progress and the opening day is getting closer.  Several fishing boats were tied up at the wharf.  It will be superb when their catch can be processed locally again. Tony Sly agrees saying,

“It will be great to have fresh fish again.”

Around the corner, the Islay Mist was loading supplies.  A peek in the window at the new Soul Shoes shop and workshop revealed some preparartory work and a small notice saying they would be moving into this space in mid-November.
