Building work improvements at Raglan Community House

There has been considerable building work going on at the Community House over the last winter months.  recent weeks. A cover has been built over the back stairwell to help keep staff, visitors and clients dry as they go upstairs/downstairs.  A new 6 metre by 6 metre garage has been built for the storage and sorting of donated goods for the Bargain Basement.   Other improvemenst have inlcuded refurbishment of the Bargain Basement to install a laundry, a small fitting room, new shelving and an upgraded office space. Community House Coordinator Chrissy Hodkinson says,  “If you haven’t yet had a chance to check it out, come and have a look.”

And talking of Chrissy, you may have noticed that she has been “missing in action”.  Recent major surgery on her foot has meant that she will be away from the Community House until mid-October. Chrissy says that she is working from home part time and it is “business as usual” at the Community House with the help and support of the great team.  She can be contacted by phone at home if anyone needs to talk to her.
