Update:
Power was restored at 9.45pm. Lights got dimmer progressively before power went right off at about 9.15pm. A WEL Networks team were seen working on a transformer in Bayview Rd. The brownout was across Bayview, Lorenzen Bay, Cambrae and Manukau roads.
An electrical brownout just before 6pm on Tuesday 10th June hit many parts of Raglan. House lights went dim and some electrical appliances refused to work. Those orange street lights went right off. We measured the supply voltage at 150 volts, 35% lower than the standard 230 volts.
When we contacted WEL Networks they said they were unaware of the problem but would get on to it.
