The pohutukawa at the harbour end of Bow Street is a good icon for the still and quiet Christmas Day in Raglan.
Although just up the street there was flurry of activity outside the library as visitors made Skype calls home using WDC’s free WiFi service.
The only businesses open were the BP2GO, the Superette in Wainui Road selling essentials, Thabun Bakery and Blacksands Cafe. The Sands seemed to be kept busy when people found an unexpected source for an espresso.
