Bow St pines to be topped

Waikato District Council news

WDC says it will be topping
the Bow St pines on 9th December

Waikato District Council says it will be removing the upper sections of the norfolk pine trees at the harbour end of Bow Street on Monday 9th December. The council says there will be some disruption to traffic as contractors need to remove upper sections of some of the Norfolk Pines there for safety reasons.

To avoid damaging other parts of the trees, a mobile crane needs to be used which means one lane of the road will be blocked so it can be parked.

Traffic management will be in place but the job is scheduled to be completed by the end of the day. WDC has apologised for any inconvenience caused by this
