Big crowds in Raglan for Anniversary weekend

Clear sky and sunny weather drew big crowds to Raglan on Saturday 24th for the  first day of Anniversary weekend. The cafes and beaches were busy and cars lined Cliff St for picnics on the reserve.

The Raglan Arts Weekend started with a relaxed opening on Friday evening with the Old School building providing shade for the hot sun.

On Saturday art-lovers started their studio visits in and around Raglan. Many started at the Old School Arts centre in Stewart St where a number of artists have set up for the weekend. Also at the Old School is the Little Food Festival where foodies can taste a range of beer and wine. At the Over The Moon cheese stand I can recommend the Double Brix.

The Arts Weekend continues to draw summer crowds as it has done since 2008. This year, the tantalising combination of art, food, and wine is an added bonus for festival-goers.
