This course by Raglan photographer Anne Parr will start with getting to know your camera better. A few very important aspects of your camera will be discussed such as Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and White Balance. You don’t need to be technical to join this course, as she will keep it simple and clear, so you can start practicing everything you learned from the start. Other classes will explain more about the creative part of photography such as composition, rule of thirds, golden section and more. This way you will not only learn about how to make a technically correct photo, but also how you CREATE a good photo by using your different compositions.
The group will also work on a few subjects (for example flowers, round or yellow) during the course. These subjects will teach you to look around you in your daily life and test you creative ability. Each week you will show your photos to the group (printing at Raglan Pharmacy standard size costs $0.29 ct overnight or $1.00 instant print) and the class will look at what others have come up with.
The 4th class will go outside and work on a few assignments. During these assignments Anne will be there to help you and answer questions.
At the end of the course you will be comfortable to take your camera off the automatic setting and make conscious decisions about what you want the photo to look like!
