On the 31st August, Raglan Ramblers will be off on a new walk from Whatawhata to Hamilton along part of the Te Araroa walkway. The plan is to drive to Dinsdale, then catch the 10.15 bus back to Whatawhata, then walk to the cars, so, as well as lunch, bring a Gold or BusIt Card if you have one. On the 10 kilometre walk we’ll pass through Taitua Arboretum and get a view over Hamilton from Till’s Lookout.

Walks usually start 9am, Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
