Crystalising the pent up anticipation for upcoming album S W I M, Dunedin post-punkers Die! Die! Die! divulge details of their NZ tour that heads to Raglan on August 16 after kicking off with an album release date of August 15th. The much-anticipated record is titled S W I M (drawing from the internet acronym for Someone Who Isn’t Me), suggesting the serial travellers are stepping out of their comfort zone to bring new sonic elements to their noise-pop act. The 11-track record follows 2012 release Harmony, and was produced by the band and Chris Townend (Portishead, D12, Violent Femmes) between Auckland and London.
Having spent the better part of the past nine years on the road Die! Die Die!’s unfiltered and powerful stage show has earned them a reputation as one of the most visceral bands regularly touring Europe and the UK. There is no rehearsed set of messages, postures or stage antics: cutting to the quick, their songs and live show is delivered straight to your bone marrow.
