Arts Centre serves up some NanaTech Treats

 

Felt Mask - Image RCAC and Karma Barnes

 

Its a case of back to the future with the NanaTech classes coming up soon at the Raglan Old School Arts Centre.  These series of classes cover traditional Arts, Crafts and Food Art with workshops for Adults and Kids.   Specific areas included are Knitting for Kids, Felt Mask Making, Chutneys, Jams, Herbal Harvesting, Sewing for Kids, Belgian luxury treats, Honey – a wonder food, Bread making, Meals from Foraging, Food fermenting!

The details are:

  • MEALS FROM FORAGING: identify common garden weeds used in cooking for risottos, soups, salsas and casseroles
  • KIDS DO KNITTING: kids to bring a clean bag to place knitting in. Mums also welcome!
  • KIDS DOLL DRESSING: age group 5+ learn basic sewing techniques making a shirt, dress or top. Bring favourite fabrics and favourite toy.
  • HONEY A WONDER FOOD: how bees make honey, honey for maximum benefits, health benefits of manuka and other honeys, honey in cooking
  • BELGIAN LUXURY TREATS: Belgian chocolate spread, marzipan, praline, Spekula and Dutch bread pudding
  • FELT MASK MAKING:Fantastic opportunity to learn the ancient Asianic technique of felt
