On the 5th April, Raglan Ramblers will be having a relaxing start to their new programme, with a late start at 10.15am. This will be followed by a short walk to the Yoga Loft in the Old Dairy Factory building in Wallis Street. Then, for those still fit enough, a local walk with a finish at a cafe.
Bring gold coin for the yoga lesson. The Raglan Dairy Cooperative was formed in
1905 and moved from Kauroa to the Wallis St factory in 1915. The photo shows the opening crowd.
Walks usually start 9am (but today’s walk starts at 10.15am), Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station). There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook
Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
