Apr 25: ANZAC Day Parade in Raglan

The RAGLAN COMMUNITY ANZAC PARADE & SERVICE will be at 11am at the Raglan Cenotaph, opposite the library in Bow Street, Raglan.

The Parade will assemble in Wainui Road at 10.30am and march to the ANZAC Service at the Cenotaph at 11.00am. All service and ex-service personnel are welcome to join in. Personnel from 161 battery, adopted Raglan during the Vietnam war, will be back in town for ANZAC Day 2017. This NZ Army unit has the Freedom of the City of Raglan. The will provide a catafalque guard, a flag orderly and will march in the parade,

The Civic parade and service is for all the community. This year the Master of Ceremonies will be Colin Hodkinson, the acting RSA President. The service will be taken by Sean Ellison and Kathleen Gavin. Wreaths will be laid by laid at the cenotaph by local organisations. The head boy and girl from Raglan Area School will make speeches.
