Raglan Old School Arts Centre has organised a Coach trip from Raglan to Gibb’s Sculpture Farm, Kaipara Harbour on Thursday 23rd April 2015. This is a great chance to see these giant sculptures. The farm is only open to the public fora few days each year and entry is by appointment only.

Gibbs Farm is a 1 ,000-acre, privately owned site, situated an hour northwest of Auckland along the banks of the Kaipara Harbour. Over the last twenty years, owner Alan Gibbs has
commissioned many larger-than-life art works to nestle amongst this rolling landscape.
There’s Amish Kapoor’s bright red horn, sitting snugly in the cleft of a grassy gully, and Peter Roche’s blazing light installation that shoots hot neon light into a surrounding gum tree glade.
“Mermaid” by Marijke de Goey is another standout with 22 enormous cubes of welded
steel tubes that leap playfully across two lakes.

I f you’re yet to visit the farm and walk the 4km sculpture trail (open monthly by appointment only), the Old School is hosting an all-inclusive visit on Thursday 23 April. Tickets cost $70, which includes a picnic lunch, coach transport and sculpture park admission. The coach leaves
from the Old School in Stewart St, Raglan at 7.30am and returns at 7.30pm.

The last few places for this tour are now available. To reserve your seat, simply call 825 0023 or email info@raglanartscentre.co.nz.
