Slide 3 shows the average maximum load the sewage works has to deal with is 1500m3 / a day. For the ‘B’ soils (Slide 4) at 0.8mm / day, that would need about 188 hectares, or about 6% of the area coloured green. For comparison, the whole of Wainui Reserve, including the pine forest, is about 140 hectares. Slides 5 and 6 show 231ha, rather than 188.

- Whether they’re looking to use both B and C zone soils, how expensive is irrigation and what can be grown on irrigated land?
