On the 15th April Raglan Ramblers will be off over the divvy to the Taitua Arboretum. They’ll be enjoying the twenty hectares of pasture, lakes and woodlands. The arboretum was planted by John and Bunny Mortimer from 1973, with over 1,500 species. It is now run by the Hamilton City Council. After exporing the arobretum, the Ramblers will be walking to Dinsdale up to the Till’s Lookout. This Lookout overlooks Hamilton and with views to the Plateau on a clear day. On most days there are views back to Karioi (See photo). Please bring your lunch for this walk.

Walks usually start 9am Wednesdays from Wainui Rd car park (next to Raglan Fire Station).  There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs.  Details from John 825 7866.   Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook

Each “Rambler” accepts responsibility for any accident or injury received while travelling, or walking over private property. Be prepared – carry enough food, clothing, first aid kit for emergencies and preferably a mobile phone.
