Another wastewater spill for Raglan

A Wastewater Overflow has  occurred on Lorenzen Bay road  Raglan at 10.30am. Waikato District Council staff are in attendance and an unknown quantity of Wastewater has entered the harbour via a local stream and open drain. The majority of the overflow was able to be contained on land at the site. The overflow has been stopped and Staff are currently fixing the issue and  cleaning the site. Signs advising against shellfish harvesting will be installed this afternoon. The overflow appears to have been caused by a blockage of Fats, Rags and foreign objects. The Waikato Regional Council have been to site. Council staff and contractors have been in the general area for the past two weeks  inspecting and cleaning the wastewater network. This work will continue next week
