In a case of now you see it, now you don’t, the house at 3 Bankart St has been demolished over the last few days. The first double brick house built in Raglan is now no more and a muddy section remains. The old rating valuation listed the dwelling with a value of $110,000. The area is zoned commercial so the property owner has flexible options possible for redevelopment of the bare land now valued at $430,000 .
Meanwhile on Bow St, work is underway at the former Zaragosa cafe, with cobblestones laid in the courtyard area and new tables being delivered.
Further up the street, word is that the recently closed Ocean Bakery, will soon reopen under a new name, still as a bakery but featuring pizzas and other bread specialities.
Good to know that these blank shop fronts will soon be buzzing again!
