Joyce Petchell Park “Need – increase capacity [still not clear if used every 3 mins, or 17 times a day] – replace with higher capacity unit on existing footprint. – 3 or 4 pan unit – Swing doors to increase turnover time”. “Consultant is currently designing the upgrade to the Museum carpark”.

Riria Kereopa Memorial Dr – 2 pan + 2 changing spaces – could move to carpark.

Ngarunui Beach – extra 2 composting toilets and maybe sand ladder to beach.

Long Term Plan – verbal update.

Kopua Carpark Extension – “Design is underway for the extension of the Kopua carpark constructed recently. The design is expected to be completed in early May. Fulton Hogan will construct the carpark following completion of the East Street cemetery access.”

Cemetery – “The tender for the construction of the access has been awarded to Fulton Hogan. Construction is programmed to start end of April”.

Stormwater – “upgrades at Stewart Street and Wainui Road. This contract will go out to the market shortly. All works expected to be completed by end of October.”

Raglan Coastal Reserves 12 Mar and 9 Apr minutes – “Is the [Wainui] farm an operation that the Council should be operating?” Beachcare planting days.

Boat Ramps – response from Sports fishing Club.

Sewage spills – 1 overflow in Feb, 23 during year.

Raglan Naturally asking for $3,000 from fund. Memorandum of understanding with Board. 4pm May 17 meeting at Poihakena Marae and Focus Groups meetings.

Safety Railings on Wainui Bridge – “Cannot install railing options as heavy and wide loads from trucks/trailers will come into contact with a railing when passing through the bridge”.

Wharf safety rails – design to be done by end of June.

Whale Bay Access Way no update.

Lighting – delayed to end of May.

Service report – only 40% of Environmental Health complaints dealt with on time, 47% of Reserve Issues, 33% of Urgent Public Toilet Issues, Urgent Roading Work 0%.

Kopua Holiday Park – charter and appointment procedures. Pump track cost $99,000. Flooding of some areas. Sales down $3,300, wages up $54,000 from 2017.

Waste Management and Minimisation Plan consultation to 23 May.

Representation Review – to set ward and board boundaries, etc – survey.

Discretionary fund has $4,214. Deadline for next fund applications Mon 6/7.
Should WED be taking up these or other issues missing from the agenda, such as bus (“double decker is still in Christchurch having the finishing touches completed. Meanwhile we’re working through any route and timetable amends that need to happen before we put the new bus on the route” – passengers still standing on bus), cutting trees on reserves, glyphosate, Trails Strategy ($278,280 to be spent in 2018), volunteer worker safety, social housing, parking infringement money, harbour lease, coastguard lease, Puriri Park, buses ($1m extra funding for Pokeno empty buses, but not for Raglan’s crowded ones – see page 228), cycleways, or land disposal of sewage?
