Aussies swarmed into Raglan in the second half of 2010. According to figures provided by the Raglan Information Centre, 616 Aussies made an enquiry at the Centre in the last six months of 2010. That’s a 70% increase on 362 recorded in the same period in 2009. Australian visitor, Colleen Walsh summed it up with her comment, “Lovely Holiday Destination”.
Overall, the Information Centre had a 17% lift in enquiries, with the other biggest increase coming from North America, Asia and Europe all with a 28% increase. The largest number of visitors continued to come from New Zealand making up 41% of the total.
