2440 people boosted in Whāingaroa

Data released by Waikato DHB on Wednesday 16th show that 2440 Whāingaroa people have had their Covid boosters. This is up by 390 from the 2050 reported a week before. In percentage terms 36% of the area’s total population has had their booster. This works out to be 54% of the 4510 who are currently eligible. There are 2070 eligible people who still need to have their booster.

There were 162 new cases confirmed in the Waikato on Friday 18th, please see image for locations. There were no new cases in Raglan Whāingaroa. There are 3 cases in the area, isolating at their home. There are no locations of interest in Whāingaroa.

The total number of cases during this Waikato outbreak is now 1818 (768 active and 1050 recovered).

There were 2460 tests processed in Waikato yesterday and 3080 vaccinations given.

There are seven COVID-19 positive individuals receiving care in Waikato Hospital.
