The 2013 19th Annual Whaingaroa Hoe is underway with crews arriving at 6.30am for rigging and registration. The event is being at Marine Parade, Te Kopua Domain in Raglan.
After a karakia, the first briefing took place and then the 8km W6 Novice/ Junior race started at 9am.

The Women and Mixed W6 24km waka round the Lorenzen bay buoy and head up harbour towards Waingaro to Buoy 4.

This was followed at 10.30am by the long distance 24km Women and Mixed W6 race.

Other races followed on the 12km course for:

  • W1 /V1 GM/SM/Master/Open/ Men/Women
  • W2 GM/SM/Master/ Open/ Men/ Women/ Mixed
  • SUP/SURFSKI Men and Women

The men’s W6 long distance race on the 24km course started at 2pm.

The kai and prize giving will be from 4.30pmn to 5.00pm at the Te Kopua boat ramp.
