With the new Museum, new Bridge and new Wainui Rd Sewer projects underway you might be excused for thinking that Raglan has too many major projects underway. But now the first three have been joined by a new WEL Networks project. On the corner of Hill Road and SH 23, work has started on building a new power substation for Raglan. Raglan is currently served by the Te Uku substation with only a small one behind the Westpac bank serving the town area. Livingston Construction, the same company that is building the new Museum, are building the substation. The new substation is part of WEL Networks’ “Western Network Upgrade”.
