Raglan resident Peter Storey landed at Christchurch just before the quake struck. Peter is visiting Christchurch to catch up with his family.
On arrival he found chaos but managed to hire a rental car and made very slow progress experiencing roads subject to liquefaction. He saw many homes totally flattened and described what he saw as like a bomb site.
