Freedom Camping to 14/8

Allow camping on Stewart St and ban it at sewage works and Wainui bush park.

Connectivity Strategy (and drop in from noon before RCB meeting) to 13/8

The map is much the same as the 2016 strategy, including the proposed path in Raglan West (which the newly-built path doesn’t follow!) and excluding Pooley’s Rd access to Karioi, which WDC planned in 2015. It mentions ‘a prioritisation table’, but doesn’t include it in the consultation. Some examples on this Facebook page.

Community Facilities Strategy Early Engagement (and drop in from noon before RCB meeting) to 13/8

Asking how important are public toilets, pools, community halls, hubs, libraries, sport facilities and pavilions.

These council items are not on RCB’s agenda

Waters Governance Board 25/7

  • delegation for signing the MOU sits with the Chief Executive
  • Raglan WWTP Upgrade – The Tender is underway, with returns due in August.
  • On June 29th, WSL conducted a meeting for the Raglan Stormwater Liaison Group. During this meeting, WSL shared information about various activities related to the stormwater management plan. These activities included CCTV investigations, water quality assessments, ecological considerations, and physical tasks related to stormwater assets. The meeting outcomes and a detailed report were subsequently distributed to the community [some in the radio studio at the Town Hall], ensuring transparency and awareness among stakeholders. There was a small turnout to the meeting, so that the team will be working with the Council communications on improved notification for these meetings. [Watercare said it might be good to hold the meetings more than once a year, so you might want to ask their stormwater engineer to put you on the mailing list for the next one. Let me know if you’d like the 3MB pdf report emailed to you.]
  • Investigations for Tuakau, Raglan, and Tamahere Reservoir sites are still underway
  • Raglan area has 2,130 water meters. In Auckland, Watercare is replacing them with smart meters, better able to monitor leaks.
