Alliance continues work on Cambrae repair

The team clicks a second level block into place

The team from Waikato District Alliance has continued work on the dropout to repair Raglan’s Cambrae Road. Preparing the site for building a concrete mass block sloping retaining wall began on Tuesday 7th. Work on building the wall will began on Wednesday 8th Feb. The large concrete blocks are like giant Lego blocks with knobs on top clicking into holes on the bottom of each block.

Moving along with level 3

By Friday 10th, the Alliance was working on the third level up with the slip area being progressively filled. Supplies of additional blocks are being delivered progressively.
